MidHudson Verified Voting is a a non-partisan group devoted to insuring that every vote is counted. A press release announces our formation.
We are a regional chapter of New Yorkers for Verified Voting. MHVV is a non-partisan, not-for-profit advocacy group, educating and organizing on issues surrounding voting and elections in the 21st century. Our by-laws were adopted March 30, 2006.
We are in concert with the League of Women Voters' position on paper ballots scanned. Our involvement in this advocacy work comes from our belief that in a democracy, citizens must speak up and take an active role. With organized advocacy and education, our goal is to ensure that all eligible citizens can vote, and that their votes will be accurately counted. MidHudson Verified Voting and New Yorkers for Verified Voting are more than the sum of its parts. While each of us alone may powerfully express our shared concerns, expressing our concerns together, we are more powerful.
